Description
The Ubiquiti RAD-RD3 is a protective radome specifically engineered for Ubiquiti's airMAX RocketDish antennas, particularly the 3-foot models. Its primary function is to shield the sensitive parabolic reflector and feedhorn from harsh environmental conditions such as rain, snow, dust, and extreme temperatures. Beyond mere protection, the radome is designed to optimize aerodynamic performance. By enclosing the antenna, it significantly reduces wind load, which is crucial for maintaining antenna stability and alignment, especially in exposed locations. This reduction in stress on the mounting hardware and antenna structure contributes to longer operational life and fewer alignment issues. The RAD-RD3 is constructed from durable, UV-resistant materials to withstand prolonged outdoor exposure without degradation. Its installation is straightforward, integrating seamlessly with compatible RocketDish antennas to provide a robust and reliable solution for maintaining optimal wireless performance in any climate.
