Description
DOCSIS 3.1 technology takes internet speeds to a whole new level by increasing uplink speed to the cloud for critical uploads like security camera feeds and also by considerably reducing latency for gaming and enhancing user experience for high-speed applications like virtual and augmented reality. NETGEAR CM1200 DOCSIS® 3.1 Cable Modem provides a true Multi-Gig experience with up to 2Gbps download speeds enabled by link aggregation and compatible internet service plans. A Gigabit Ethernet port provides faster wired speeds to connect your router or computer. Ultra-High Speed Connections with DOCSIS® 3.1 DOCSIS 3.1 offers a huge jump in download and upload internet speeds, supporting up to 10 Gbps download and 1 Gbps upload speeds. Since the technology is backwards compatible, upgrading to a DOCSIS 3.1 modem means you’ll still enjoy your current internet service and be ready for the fastest speeds available in your area when your service provider upgrades to DOCSIS 3.1. Works with your WiFi Router If you pay for super-fast internet plans but don't have a DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem to support these speeds, you're not getting the speeds you pay for! Use an Ethernet cable to connect the CM1200 cable modem output port to WAN port of your existing WiFi router, WiFi System or directly to your computer and get high-speed connectivity for all your devices. Go beyond Gigabit speeds— set up Ethernet port aggregation with compatible Nighthawk® Wi-Fi 6 routers for Multi-Gig internet speeds. Multi-IP Address Support The CM1200 supports up to four (4) public IP addresses (WAN IP) with a Comcast Business account. Advantages include: Ability to host multiple servers, such as email, website, VPN gateway servers, etc. Addresses the challenges of NAT (Network Address Translation) configuration for video conferencing.
