Description

The Accortec SMCBGSSCX1-ACC is a Bi-Directional (BiDi) SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) transceiver module designed for 1 Gigabit Ethernet applications over multi-mode fiber (MMF). This specialized module allows for full-duplex communication over a single strand of fiber by transmitting and receiving data on different wavelengths. This significantly reduces the number of fiber strands required, offering a cost-effective solution for network deployments where fiber cable management is a concern or where fiber availability is limited. This BiDi transceiver operates using two distinct wavelengths, typically in the 850nm range, such as 850nm for transmission and 900nm for reception, or vice versa.
