Rack PowerEdge servers from the 12th to 14th generation, such as the R620, R720, R630, R730, R640 and R740, have a dedicated rNDC slot. 15th generation and later models use OCP 3.0 cards instead.
Will an rNDC from one PowerEdge generation fit another?
The rNDC form factor is shared across 12th, 13th and 14th generation rack servers, but each server supports a specific list of cards, so check that list before mixing generations.
