Batteries
Batteries covers backup batteries for servers, storage and UPS systems rather than laptops. RAID cache batteries include Dell PERC H710, H710P, H730 and H810 packs and HPE 96W Smart Storage Batteries for Gen9 and Gen10 ProLiants. Storage system batteries cover Dell SCv2000 and EqualLogic PS6100 controllers and IBM Storwize V3700 canisters. UPS batteries include APC Smart-UPS SRT and X-series external packs and Eaton 5P replacements. A few RAID controllers sold with their batteries attached are listed too.

Buying guide
Replacing a backup battery
Cache batteries wear out
RAID and storage controller batteries lose capacity over a few years. When the controller detects a weak battery, it turns off write caching until a good one is installed.
Order by controller
Battery packs are specific to the controller family and form factor, such as mini mono, adapter or blade, so order by controller model or the battery's own part number.
Learn cycles
Dell PERC controllers run a periodic battery learn cycle to recalibrate the pack and may switch to write-through caching while it runs.

Frequently asked questions
How long do UPS batteries last?
Sealed lead-acid UPS batteries typically last three to five years. Heat shortens that sharply, so a UPS in a warm closet may need new batteries sooner, and most units run a self-test that flags a weak battery.
Can I add battery packs to my UPS?
On models built for external packs, such as APC Smart-UPS SRT and X-series units, yes. The pack must match the UPS's battery voltage, for example 48V for SMX models, 72V for the SRT 2200 or 192V for the SRT 5 to 10kVA.
Do you list laptop batteries here?
No. Laptop batteries have their own category under Laptop Parts; this one covers server, storage and UPS batteries.
