The Ubiquiti NanoBeam 2AC (NBE-2AC-13) is a compact and powerful airMAX AC Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) device designed for long-range wireless connectivity in the 2.4 GHz spectrum. It leverages Ubiquiti's airMAX AC technology to deliver high-performance throughput, making it suitable for establishing point-to-point (PtP) or point-to-multipoint (PtMP) links. The 2.4 GHz band is chosen for its better penetration through foliage and obstacles compared to higher frequency bands, making it ideal for certain deployment scenarios. This NanoBeam model features an integrated antenna with 13 dBi gain, providing a focused beamwidth for improved signal reception and reduced interference. A key advantage is the inclusion of a dedicated management radio, which allows for easy setup and configuration via a mobile device using the Ubiquiti WiFiman app, even if the main Ethernet port is not connected to a network. This simplifies the installation process significantly. The NBE-2AC-13 is equipped with a single Gigabit Ethernet port (10/100/1000Base-T) for connection to the network. It is powered using Power over Ethernet (PoE), which simplifies installation by requiring only a single Ethernet cable for both data and power. This device is an excellent choice for WISP clients, extending network access to remote buildings, or creating wireless links where wired infrastructure is impractical.
