Product Description
The Transition Networks J/VD-RX-01 is a specialized media converter designed to facilitate the transmission of video signals over fiber optic cable, primarily for CCTV and video surveillance systems. This unit acts as the receiver in a fiber optic transmission system, converting the incoming fiber optic video signal back into a standard coaxial BNC video signal that can be fed into a DVR, monitor, or other video processing equipment. This converter is crucial for extending the reach of video surveillance systems beyond the limitations of coaxial cabling. By converting the video signal to light pulses for transmission over fiber, it eliminates issues such as signal degradation, electromagnetic interference (EMI), and ground loop problems that plague long coaxial runs. The use of fiber optic cable also provides enhanced security against signal tapping. The J/VD-RX-01 features a BNC connector for receiving the video signal from the fiber optic transmitter and an ST connector for the fiber optic link. It is designed for use with multimode fiber and requires a corresponding transmitter unit (e.g., J/VD-TX-01) at the other end of the fiber link to complete the system. Its compact design and simple installation make it a practical solution for upgrading existing CCTV systems or deploying new ones over extended distances.
