The Transition CBFTF1011-105 is a Fast Ethernet media converter designed to bridge the connectivity gap between copper twisted-pair Ethernet networks and fiber optic networks. It operates at speeds of 10 or 100 Mbps, supporting auto-negotiation on its RJ45 copper port to seamlessly connect with devices operating at either speed and in full or half-duplex modes. This converter is ideal for extending network reach and enhancing performance where fiber optic cabling is required or advantageous. The device features a standard RJ45 connector for connecting to UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) Ethernet cables, and an ST connector for interfacing with 100Base-FX multimode fiber optic cables.
