The Planet MGB-TLA20 is a high-performance Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) transceiver module, commonly referred to as a Mini-GBIC. It is engineered to provide Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over single-mode fiber optic cables. This module adheres to the 1000Base-BX standard, which is optimized for long-distance transmission and typically uses a single fiber strand for both transmitting and receiving data by employing different wavelengths. The MGB-TLA20 operates at a wavelength of 1310nm, facilitating robust communication links. This SFP transceiver is designed to be inserted into an SFP port on a compatible network switch, router, or media converter. Once installed, it converts the electrical signals from the host device into optical signals for transmission over fiber optic cable, and vice versa.
