The Netgear RBK20-100PES is part of the Orbi Whole Home Mesh WiFi system, engineered to eliminate WiFi dead zones and provide a robust, high-speed wireless internet experience across medium to large homes. This kit typically includes one Orbi router and two satellite units, which work together to create a single, seamless WiFi network. Unlike traditional WiFi extenders, Orbi uses a dedicated Tri-band WiFi system, which includes a high-speed backhaul connection between the router and satellites. This dedicated backhaul ensures that the performance of the WiFi network is not compromised by the mesh architecture, allowing for faster speeds and better stability for all connected devices. The system delivers impressive wireless speeds, with a combined theoretical maximum throughput of up to 2.2 Gigabits per second (Gbps). This performance is achieved through a combination of high-speed 802.11ac WiFi bands, including a dedicated backhaul band, which intelligently manages traffic between the Orbi units. The RBK20 system is designed to support a large number of connected devices simultaneously, making it ideal for modern households with numerous smart devices, streaming services, and online gaming activities.
