The Juniper SFPP-10GE-LRM-AO is a high-performance transceiver module specifically designed for 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) applications over multimode fiber optic cabling. It operates at a wavelength of 1310nm, which is characteristic of longer-reach multimode applications. This module adheres to the 10GBase-LRM standard, enabling it to achieve significantly greater transmission distances on multimode fiber compared to standard 850nm SR transceivers. The LRM (Long Reach Multimode) designation is key, as it allows this SFP+ module to reach distances up to 220 meters on OM2 multimode fiber, and up to 300 meters on OM3 or OM4 multimode fiber.
