Product Description
The Juniper B-EX4600-40FO-5S-E is a member of the Juniper Networks EX4600 Series Ethernet switches, engineered to provide high-density, high-performance connectivity for modern data centers and campus networks. This fixed-configuration switch is optimized for demanding environments requiring robust Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching capabilities, low latency, and significant throughput. Its design makes it suitable for deployment as a top-of-rack (ToR) switch, an aggregation switch, or even as a core switch in smaller networks. The switch features 24 fixed 10GbE SFP+ ports, providing ample connectivity for servers, storage devices, and other high-speed endpoints. Complementing these are four 40GbE QSFP+ ports, which can be used for high-bandwidth uplinks to the network core or spine, or for connecting to other high-capacity switches. The QSFP+ ports can also be broken out into multiple 10GbE connections, offering flexibility in network design and connectivity options. Built with Juniper's Junos OS, the EX4600-40F offers a consistent and advanced feature set, including support for Virtual Chassis technology, which allows multiple switches to be managed as a single logical device.
