The HP R0X38B is a high-density Gigabit Ethernet expansion module designed to enhance the port density and capabilities of HP 6400 series modular switches. It provides 48 standard Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 ports, enabling the connection of numerous end devices such as computers, printers, and IP phones. Additionally, four of these ports are equipped with Power over Ethernet (PoE) capabilities, allowing them to supply electrical power to compatible devices like IP cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP phones over the Ethernet cable, simplifying deployment and reducing cabling infrastructure.
