Product Description
The HP JW659A Aruba S3500 24 Port PoE Network Switch is an enterprise-grade access switch designed to deliver reliable and secure network connectivity. With 24 Power over Ethernet (PoE) enabled Gigabit Ethernet ports, it is well-suited for environments that require powering devices such as IP phones, wireless access points, and surveillance cameras directly through the network cable. This simplifies installation and reduces the need for separate power outlets near the devices. The switch also features four SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) uplink ports, providing flexibility for connecting to the network core or other high-bandwidth devices. These ports can accommodate various SFP transceivers, allowing for fiber optic or copper connections depending on the infrastructure requirements. Operating primarily as a Layer 2 switch, it efficiently handles data traffic based on MAC addresses, ensuring smooth communication within the local network segment. Built with enterprise needs in mind, the Aruba S3500 series supports essential network management features. This includes Virtual LANs (VLANs) for network segmentation, Quality of Service (QoS) for prioritizing traffic, and Link Aggregation for increased bandwidth and redundancy. The switch is managed through a user-friendly web interface and a command-line interface (CLI), offering administrators comprehensive control over network configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
