Product Description
The HP JL189A, also known as the Aruba Instant IAP-103, is an enterprise-grade wireless access point designed to deliver reliable and secure Wi-Fi connectivity in demanding environments. This access point operates on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands, supporting the 802.11n standard to provide aggregate wireless data rates of up to 600 Mbps (300 Mbps per band). Its dual-band capability allows for efficient traffic management and performance optimization across different client devices and applications. The IAP-103 is part of Aruba's 'Instant AP' portfolio, which enables controllerless deployment. A single Instant AP can automatically configure and manage up to 15 other Instant APs, simplifying network setup, scalability, and management, especially in smaller to medium-sized deployments. The device features integrated antennas that are optimized for consistent coverage. Power is delivered via Power over Ethernet (PoE), which simplifies installation by allowing the AP to receive power and data over a single Ethernet cable. With support for advanced security features, including WPA2/WPA3 encryption, and Quality of Service (QoS) capabilities, the Aruba IAP-103 is well-suited for corporate offices, educational institutions, and retail environments. Its ability to handle a significant number of client devices and provide high-performance wireless access makes it a versatile solution for modern enterprise networks.
