The HP JC669-61001 is a high-performance switch module designed for the HP ProCurve 7500 Series modular chassis. It features 20 standard 1000Base-T RJ-45 ports for general network connectivity, alongside 4 additional 1000Base-T Combo PoE ports. The 4 Combo PoE ports offer flexibility, allowing administrators to choose between using the RJ-45 connector for standard Gigabit Ethernet or an SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) slot for fiber optic connectivity. Crucially, these 4 Combo ports also support Power over Ethernet (PoE), enabling them to deliver electrical power to connected devices such as IP phones, wireless access points, and security cameras over the Ethernet cable, simplifying deployment and reducing cabling requirements.
