Description
The HP 676247-001 is a 2.5-inch SAS hard drive backplane board designed to integrate into specific HP ProLiant server models. This component serves as the central hub for connecting two small form factor (2.5-inch) SAS hard drives to the server's storage controller. It provides the necessary physical connectors and electrical pathways for both data transfer and power delivery to the drives. This backplane board is engineered to support hot-plug functionality, meaning that the SAS drives can be inserted or removed from the server while the system is still running, without causing downtime or data loss. This feature is critical for maintaining high availability in enterprise environments, allowing for easy drive replacement, upgrades, or expansion of storage capacity on the fly. The 676247-001 ensures a secure and reliable connection for the SAS drives, contributing to the overall stability and performance of the server's storage subsystem. It is an essential component for configuring and expanding the storage capabilities of compatible HP ProLiant servers, enabling efficient management of data and applications.
