Description

The Fortinet FortiGate 60C is a robust security platform engineered to deliver comprehensive threat protection and network security services. It is designed to be deployed at the network edge, safeguarding internal resources from external threats while providing secure connectivity for remote users and branch offices. The FG-60C-POE-BDL-927-12 variant enhances this capability by incorporating Power over Ethernet (PoE) and PoE+ ports, allowing for the direct powering of compatible devices such as IP phones, wireless access points, and security cameras, thereby reducing the need for separate power adapters and simplifying cabling infrastructure. This appliance leverages Fortinet's FortiOS operating system, which provides a unified platform for managing a wide array of security functions. These include stateful inspection firewalling, secure VPN connectivity (IPsec and SSL VPN), intrusion prevention system (IPS) to detect and block network attacks, antivirus and anti-malware scanning, web content filtering, and application control to manage bandwidth usage and enforce security policies. The combination of these features makes the FortiGate 60C a versatile solution for organizations seeking to consolidate their security infrastructure and improve their overall security posture. The FG-60C-POE-BDL-927-12 is particularly well-suited for environments where simplified deployment and power management are critical. The inclusion of both standard PoE and higher-power PoE+ ports offers flexibility in supporting a diverse range of network endpoints. Its compact design allows for easy installation in space-constrained environments, and its high-performance architecture ensures that security services can be applied without significantly impacting network throughput. This makes it an effective solution for protecting small to medium-sized businesses and enterprise branch offices.
