The DP-301U print server provides a single USB 1.1 port for connection to a USB-supported printer. This device lets you easily share your USB printer with a group of users at home or in the office over a 10Mbps Ethernet or 100Mbps Fast Ethernet network. Supporting multiple network operating systems, this device brings a high level of flexibility and performance to your printing needs. Flexible Installation The DP-301U is ideal for both the large office and the small workgroup. For homes and SOHO with just one printer to share, this print server offers a single port and saves you the cost. For the large office with many computer users and several printers scattered at different places, you can plug one print server to each of these printers to share them on the network. Multiple Network OS Support The DP-301U supports as many network OS, including Windows 95, 98, ME, NT 4.0, XP, Apple MacOS with AppleTalk, Linux, Solaris, SCO Unix and NetWare 5.x native NDS. This allows you toflexibly install the print server, regardless of your network environment. 10/100Mbps LAN Port Connection to your network is through a 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet port, which automatically detects the speed of your network and auto-negotiates to use the highest speed available. Easy Setup Setup the print server is easy with a Windows-based menudriven program, which guides you through all the necessary steps to set up and configure your network printer. SNMP and latest MIB-II MIBs are also built into the print server, allowing you to manage this device on any SNMP standardbased network.
