Description

The Brocade M-LHA is a Gigabit Interface Converter (GBIC) module, designed to provide 1 Gigabit per second (1Gb/s) network connectivity over single-mode fiber optic cables. GBIC modules were an earlier standard for network transceivers, offering a way to add fiber optic capabilities to network devices. The M-LHA module converts electrical signals from the network device into optical signals for transmission over fiber and vice versa, enabling communication over longer distances than copper cabling allows.
