Product Description
This Brocade CFP transceiver module, model 100G-CFP-SR10, is designed for high-density, high-bandwidth applications within data centers and enterprise networks. It delivers a massive 100Gb/s throughput, utilizing the 100GBase-SR10 standard which employs parallel optics over multi-mode fiber. This configuration is optimized for short-reach interconnections, commonly used to link switches, servers, and storage devices within close proximity. The CFP (C Form-factor Pluggable) form factor is larger than SFP+ or QSFP28, often used in earlier 100G deployments or for specific high-density switch architectures. The module operates at an 850nm wavelength and requires a 12-fiber MPO connector to support the ten parallel transmit and ten parallel receive lanes, each operating at 10Gb/s. With a maximum transmission distance of 150 meters over OM4 multi-mode fiber (or 100 meters over OM3), the 100G-CFP-SR10 is suitable for top-of-rack (ToR) and end-of-row (EoR) switch connections, as well as high-performance computing (HPC) clusters and storage fabrics that demand extreme bandwidth over limited distances.
