Fibre Channel Controllers
Fibre Channel Controllers holds the host bus adapters that connect servers to a SAN: HPE StoreFabric SN1100E 16Gb cards, StorageWorks 4Gb adapters like the AB378A and AB378B, and 2Gb PCI-X cards for older ProLiant and Integrity servers. Single- and dual-port versions exist for most generations. Fibre Channel generations interoperate a couple of steps apart, so a newer HBA can usually join an older fabric at the fabric's speed.
