Description
The Apple 661-6355 is an internal optical drive that combines DVD-R writing and CD-RW rewriting capabilities, featuring a modern SATA interface for enhanced performance. As an 8x DVD-R writer, it allows users to burn data onto DVD-R discs at a respectable speed, suitable for backups, video creation, or software distribution. The drive also supports CD rewriting at 16x speeds and reading of both CD and DVD media at up to 24x and 8x respectively. Utilizing the SATA interface, this drive benefits from higher bandwidth and more efficient data transfer compared to older IDE/PATA connections. Designed for integration into Apple laptops, the 661-6355 provides essential optical media functionality in a compact form factor. Its tray-loading mechanism is standard for slimline laptop optical drives.
