Description

The AG714A, also known as the HP DAT 72, represents a significant step in tape backup technology for its time, offering a substantial increase in capacity over previous generations. This internal drive is designed for seamless integration into existing server infrastructure, providing a robust and cost-effective solution for safeguarding critical business data. Its DDS (Digital Data Storage) technology ensures data integrity and reliability, crucial for long-term archiving and disaster recovery strategies. The drive's ability to achieve 72GB of compressed capacity from 36GB native storage means fewer tapes are needed for backups, reducing media costs and management overhead.
